Sitting just inland is the lovely area of Thornton with it's array of shops, the Grade ll listed Marsh Mill craft village and award winning Wyre Estuary Country Park. 

Also here, is Thornton Little Theatre hosting musical shows and plays.

There are excellent bus links from Thornton to Cleveleys, Blackpool and Poulton.
